Circus tightrope walker teeters on thin ice
What’s ACT I all about?
Founded in 2001 by the Skating Club of Boston, ACT I of Boston is a senior level Theater on Ice (TOI) team encompassing figure skaters from preliminary through senior level in freestyle, ice dance and pair skating.
Our mission is to foster a creative outlet for figure skaters who wish to collaborate across disciplines to create an original and expressive production on ice. Our skaters benefit from teaming up with a broad range of skating talents—including regional medalists, national competitors, and champions across all skating disciplines.
ACT I performs at many benefits and is proud of its record of community service. In addition, we compete 3-4 times each year in USFS-sanctioned regional and international TOI events.
Our competitive season runs July 1-June 30 each year, with auditions held annually during July. If you are interested in joining this exciting creative outlet for figure skaters, contact us at sk8toi@act1boston.org.
